Six tornadoes tore through Mississippi in the last 24 hours. One person died and two dozen people were injured. 100 mph straight-line winds uprooted trees leaving widespread damage to the Powergrid. In Mississippi and across the south, 35 million people are facing dangerous heat alerts because of power outages as temperatures in the 90s and humidity makes it feel much hotter. The severe weather is expected to continue over the next few days.
