20th Anniversary interview on ‘Wake Up and Stay Woke,’ with Host, Dr. E. Faye Williams on WPFM 89.3FM about Mississippi Black Women survivors happened in 2025. I talked about how storms have always occurred since the beginning of the world and originate off the coast of Africa. I also mentioned Africa’s Rainy Season, London’s downpours, the Midwest’s Tornado Alley, and of course, one of the worse natural disasters in American history – Hurricane Katrina in 2005.  2025 marks the 20th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina. I discussed my book, The Overlooked Voices of Hurricane Katrina: Mississippi Black Women Survivors Resilience and Recovery 20th anniversary commemorations of Hurricane Katrina are planned in the South, the academy and the world.
