(MEMA) Mississippi Emergency Management Association stated early Saturday morning that 23 people were killed, dozens are injured, and four people have been reported missing. Tornadoes whipped through four Mississippi counties, including Sharkey, Humphreys, Carroll, and Monroe County.

One mayor’s words described the experience of many when he said, “the community has been devastated, we’ve lost lives, we have folks who are injured, and many people have been displaced”.
