Before the next storm arrives, here are six (6) tips to know about water and flooding during hurricanes. 1) Water is the most dangerous aspect of a hurricane because forecasters can only estimate the amount of rain that will fall. 2)Rain can occur quickly during storms, sometimes several inches fall within an hour which makes driving very dangerous. 3) Water puddles could be deeper than they look and only six inches of water can cause you to lose control of your vehicle. 4) Find out if you live in a flood Zone before the next storm by clicking this link (https://floodfactor.com/. 5) Remember, flooding may affect the safety of the water you drink so listen to local authorities about boil water advisories. 6) Only return to your home when authorities say it is safe to do so. Don’t drown: Turn Around.
