The National Women’s Studies Association featured my book, ‘The Overlooked Voices of Hurricane Katrina Mississippi Black Women Survivors Resilience and Recovery’, in their ‘Celebration of New Books and Authors at the 2023 Annual Conference in Baltimore Maryland. (October). My book is the only volume dedicated to Black women disaster survivors resiliency through the recovery stage in America.
