2023 Winter Weather Preparedness Week is the National Weather Service (NWS)
initiative to prepare the public for hazardous weather. At the end of hurricane season, which is November 30 ,each year, the NWS asks Weather-Ready Nation Ambassadors (like me), emergency management, local media, and public safety officials to join forces in improving the nation’s readiness, responsiveness, and overall resilience against extreme weather during the winter weather season.
