Rain is forecast for the weekend so there may be flash flood warnings. Here are six (6) tips to know about water and flooding to stay safe. 1) Water is the most dangerous aspect of any storm. 2) Rain can fall quickly and leave several inches on the road and this can make driving treacherous. 3) Puddles of water are often deeper than they appear and just six inches of water can cause you to lose control of your vehicle so remember – Don’t drown: Turn Around. 4) Know your community flood risk by finding your ‘Flood Zone’ now just click this link ( 5) Remember, flooding may affect the safety of the water you drink so follow the advice of local authorities about boil water advisories. 6) If you have to evacuate or your neighborhood is flooded, always wait until authorities say it is safe to return to your home.
