My book, Hurricane Katrina Mississippi Black Women’s Survivors Resilience and Recovery was released making it the first and only longitudinal study on American women disaster survivors in U.S. history (my mentor told me my work will be called seminal in the future (OMG – I was just trying to tell the women’s stories). Other events included a virtual book launch, interviews with the Mississippi Gulf Coast premier newspaper, the Sun Herald and my hometown newspaper, The Greenwood Commonwealth (where my father worked), regional recognition by Alpha Kappa Alpha (my sorority), a socially-distanced book signing, and a primetime live TV interview with news anchor, Nayyera Haq, on the Black News Channel – to view just click the link:  https://fb.watch/a9Fq-gEqFD/

God is able to do exceedingly abundantly, above all we can ask, think, or imagine!

Thank you for your support too.

Be sure to check back next week for updates about disasters across the country and more exciting news about my book.
