My book, Hurricane Katrina Mississippi Black Women’s Survivors Resilience and Recovery was released making it the first and only longitudinal study on American women disaster survivors in U.S. history (my mentor told me my work will be called seminal in the future (OMG – I was just trying to tell the women’s stories).
