This Sunday, the world will witness another Grid Iron milestone in the biggest game of the league. Honestly, I didn’t think I would ever see two Black quarterbacks square off in this Super Bowl, but talent, physical ability, and brilliance brought us to this history making moment. Doug Williams, the first Black Quarterback to win a Super Bowl, who was an HBCU, SWAC Conference superstar said it best, “I said to myself, ‘Wow!’ My eyes watered up because of the chills of the moment; … [when] I realized what had transpired.” Like Williams, two weeks ago, I cheered all afternoon for Jalen and then that evening for Patrick to win! When they did, I posted on Facebook immediately, that, “I just WON the Super Bowl!”. Although KC has been my team since Mahomes arrival, I predicted to several friends that Jalen Hurt was going all the way this year. I have watched almost all the Eagles games this season. The more I watched Jalen, the more I liked Jalen. So here we are at Super Bowl LVII (57) weekend. Like, Mrs. Kelce, I will be cheering because I love both her boys, Jason and Travis, too. I’m so excited to watch this history making Super Bowl! History will be made: If Jalen wins it will be the third time a Black Quarterback wins the Super Bowl and if Patrick wins it will be the first time a Black Quarterback is the winner of two Super Bowls (Oh my, this is too good). I really wish I could watch this game with my dad like I used to you when I was in high school in Mississippi. I will cheer on every play and wish that the game could end in a tie, but I know that’s not possible so let’s go! I love you both – let’s have some fun and we WIN!
