Beryl reached hurricane status on Saturday afternoon with winds of 75 mph just 24 hours after the system formed in the Atlantic Ocean. Beryl is the 1st June  hurricane to form in over 30 years.

Meteorologists expect a fast moving hurricane to intensify and will make projections on Beryl’s approach toward the United States in the next few days.
